Mono Renditionizer Updated to v3.6

I made some minor updates to my Mono Renditionizer plugin…

2007/11/12 - new version available: Pog’s Mono Renditionizer v3.91

  • added the ability to monkey around with the input data before the rest of the plugin kicks in. Basically, this involves the black, gray and white points and some tweaks to individual Lab channels. I’ve labeled the ab channel adjustments as green/magenta and blue/yellow since that’s what they affect (leading to pseudo-color temp adjustments). This all brings a bit of real variation to what the original controls can do. Presets should still work from the prior version (3.1)
  • added the ability to lock out the blur effects and post mixing channel biases from the random function.

I posted some images, a screenshot and the filter at my favorite haunt, dslreports.com. Direct URL is [FYI] Updated my first plugin…

Thanks!

Updated to v3.6b… Andy caught a bug for me! Basically, I screwed up some very simple code so that the plugin was returning garbage to the alpha channel. I didn’t notice it because I only tested the plugin on a background layer …no alpha present. Everything should be working now. Scroll to the bottom of the dslreports.com thread above for the new version. (I have a lot more bandwidth now so, when I get around to it, I will host the plugins here.)

Thanks for the update. I am running it on CS2, but unlike version 3.1 which runs fine, I get a clear preview window (with checkerboard). Anything I may be doing wrong?

Andy, thanks for the feedback. I’m not sure what the trouble could be. I don’t use CS2 AND I didn’t do much to change the coding of the plugin. I’ll check it out though.
